As a Core Operations Engineer I work in a technical hosting and infrastructure environment. I provide technical support, contribute to operations and work on stable systems and clear solutions. Over time, my responsibilities have expanded to include system administration and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support and analyzing incidents.
• Performing administration and infrastructure tasks.
• Working with Linux-based environments.
• Automating and configuring systems with tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Supporting the management and optimization of services and components such as firewalls, NGINX, Redis, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker, Node.js, PHP, HAProxy and Keepalived.
• Supporting infrastructure maintenance.
• Maintaining documentation, monitoring and process improvements.

ICT Servicedesk

At Achmea I worked on the ICT servicedesk within a large financial and insurance organization. In this role I supported end users by phone and, where needed, on-site with technical questions, workplace issues and application-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, registering and following up ICT tickets.
• Supporting users with remote work, hardware and software issues.
• Working with various systems such as Windows, AS400 and SAP.
• Providing support for several Achmea applications.
• Analyzing incidents and escalating them to the right resolver group when needed.
• Maintaining user administration and providing logistical support for projects.
